Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify the structure, by using a single control spring whose spring constant increases due to the compression of the spring to perform break oil pressure control in a total range.
CONSTITUTION: The control spring 3 is provided between a large-diameter control piston 6 and a control piston 7 extending through the axial part of a small-diameter control piston 5. When the control spring 3 is compressed by the action of a break oil pressure control G- valve mechanism 16, the output oil pressure rises. The G- valve 16 moves left to open a passage 20 and compress the control spring 3. When the passage 20 is closed, the G-valve stops moving to adjust the force of the control spring 3. The adjustment is proportional to the enclosed oil pressure in an adjusting oil chamber 15. Therefore, braking oil pressure required to obtain a desired vehicle deceleration is proportional to the load on the vehicle. Thus, the quantity of compression of the control spring 3 can be increased in proportional to the incrase in the load.
