Abstract

The adjustable load braking valve serves for controlling a brake pressure (C), actuating the vehicle brake, as a function of a pilot control pressure (CV) and a load-dependent pressure (T) corresponding to the type of vehicle. The load pressure (T) at the same time determines the spring rate of a spring. When designed as a leaf spring (17) the load pressure (T) determines the position of a roller (19) supporting the leaf spring (17). A piston (13) acted upon by the brake pressure (C) can be supported against the spring (17), which piston together with a piston (1) acted upon by the pilot control pressure (CV) against the force of a further spring (3) actuates an inlet and outlet valve comprising a valve plate (9) for the brake pressure (C). A load braking valve designed in this way adjusts the brake pressure as a function of the vehicle load and the pilot control pressure.
