Abstract

PURPOSE: To plan reduction of necessary area for installation of the device and improvement of airing efficiency by constituting long circulating path in direction of up and down in the device for gasifying nitrogen component contained in the liquid to be processed into nitrogen gas by circulating the luquid to be processed which is the mixture of original liquid containing nitrogen and active sludge through first zone containing oxigen and second zone.
CONSTITUTION: Circulating flow path consisting of decending flow path 2 and acending flow path 3 with level difference of order of 100 m, for instance, in a double cylindrical tank 1. Air is supplied from nozzle 4 equipped at deep position of acending flow path 3 and oxigen gas is absorbed and disolved so as to become oversaturated condition at above atmospheric pressure in the liquid to be processed supplied into tank 1 through flow path 8. Air bubbles produced in above-mentioned process are broken at the surface of the liquid in said tank, and further, breaking of air bubbles is promoted by blowing air from nozzle 5, and in such conditions, the liquid to be processed is circulated through above-cited flow path 2 and 3. In this case, acending flow path 3 containing ample oxigen gas becomes the first zone and decending flow path 2 containing less oxigen gas becomes second zone, and nitrogen component contained in the liquid to be processed is gasified into nitrogen gas while the liquid to be processed is circulating through said two zones.
