Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent water hammering generated in turbine power generation plant by forming a regulation valve in such a manner as to be opened or closed as desired, slowly or quickly.
CONSTITUTION: For example when the turbine load is less than 25 percent, a push botton is operated to excite solenoid valves 20 and 21 so that a valve 22 is opened from C through B while closed at A, and a valve 21 is opened from B through A while closed at C. Thus, an air set 22 forces a level adjusting valve 17 to be fully closed and the drain of a feed heater 13 is controlled by a water level adjusting valve 18. When the turbine load exceeds 25 percent, allowing control with a valve 7, the push button 24 is operated to cut excitation off the valve 21, so that the valve is opened from A through C while closed at B. Then, control air is relieved from the port C to release the valve 17. Prior to this, a needle valve of a capacity tank 23 is controlled to delay the speed of the valve 17 from the full closure to a given opening. On the other hand, a timer is operated to cut excitation off the valve 20, so that the valve is opened from A through B while closed at C, whereby a switch is made to a control signal of a level adjusting gauge. With such an arrangement, the small opening of the valve 17 allows the drain of a feed heater to be recovered gradually, thereby preventing water hammering.
