Abstract

PURPOSE: A fibroin solution in a solvent is subjected to dealkalization and/or desalting using a specific membrane separator to prepare inexpensively title dope for forming with uniformity also in microscopic properties.
CONSTITUTION: Fibroin is dissolved in at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of copper-ethylene-diamine aqueous solutions, copper hydroxide-ammonia aqueous solutions, copper hydroxide-alkali-glycerol aqueous solutions, aqueous solutions of lithium bromide, chlorides, nitrates or thiocyanates of Ca, Mg or Zn, and aqueous solutions of sodium thiocyanate. The resulting solution is subjected to dealkalization and/or desalting using a multilayered membrane structure unit or hollow fiber structure unit of more than 10, preferably over 30, much perferably over 50 in the ratio of membrane area (cm2) to priming capacity (cm3).
