Abstract
PURPOSE: To carry out energy-saving plant by effectively utilizing the heat of vaporization of low temperature liquefied natural gas (LNG) at an LNG vaporization base remote from a local district cooling and heating energy plant as a cooling heat source.
CONSTITUTION: Dry ice 13 fabricated by utilizing the cold heat of liquefied natural gas (LNG) at remote place is introduced into a hopper 1 and dropped to supply onto the water surface in a tank T3. The dry ice 13 derives chilled water 14 of sublimation heat to be sublimated into carbon dioxide so as to cool the cooling water by means of the sublimation heat. The cooling water cooled in the tank T3 is moved into a tank T4, from which it is supplied by a pump 41 to a cold heat user's facility. The dry ice 13 sublimated in the tank T3 becomes low temperature carbon dioxide, which is introduced into a demister 82. The drift chilled water is separated from the carbon dioxide in the demister 82 and introduced into a cooler 5 to derive heat of the air conditioning air to cool the air while passing through a cooling tube 15.
