Abstract
PURPOSE: A self-cooling apparatus which is so arranged as to be able to feed cold air by way of a gas turbine and air compressor by the use of the heat energies being exhausted in fired matter cooling process of sintering, etc.
CONSTITUTION: For example, red hot sinters are moved to the right within a cooler unit 1 by a cooling conveyor 2 from a feed chute 3 and are discharged from a discharge part 13. At this time, cooling air is led into an inlet 4 and is blown into the unit 1 by an air compressor 7. This cold air undergoes heat exhanging and becomes of high temperature by passing through the sinter layer. The thermally expanded air is then led into a gas turbine 6 via dust remover 12 from exhaust hot gas outlet 5. The driving force of the gas turbine 6 directly operates the air compressor 7 by way of a speed reducer 8 or a generator is revolved and an electric motor 9 is revolved by the electric power generated thereby, by which the air compressor 7 is operated. Thereby, the apparatus is extremely effective for saving of energies.
