Abstract

PURPOSE:In a circular type sintering apparatus, a plurality of rotary pallet is water- cooled to prevent lowering of yield strength and hardeness of the body and thus to minimize or eliminate deformation and abrasion of pallet at a high temperature. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of pallets 1 is circularly and endlessly connected each other to form a circular pallet group 2. At the upper and lower portion of inner side of the pallet group 2, a cooling water header 29 and a drain header 31 are installed. At the center of the pallet group 2, a fixed column 23 is installed. Cooling water is passed through feed pipe 41 of the fixed column 23, conduits 27, the cooling water header 29, short conduits 30 and all pallets 1. The cooling water is supplied from an inlet 10A of a spiral conduit into the pallets 1, whereby the water cools vertical frames 4A and 4B and horizontal beams 5A-5E. The water is exited from an outlet 10B and passed through a flexible tube 32, the drain header 31, drain conduits 28, annular conduit 26, and exhausted through drain 42. The water system thus cools the pallet and effectively prevents a high temperature deformation and abrasion thereof.
