Abstract

PURPOSE: To manufacture sintered, flexible magnetic material excellent in magnetic characteristics, of prescribed composition of Fe-Co-V, by mixing Co-V alloy powder of prescribed composition previously prepared with other components, and by sintering the mixt.
CONSTITUTION: Powder of a Co-V alloy consisting of 35 45wt.% V, the remainder being Co, is previously made. The alloy powder is mixed with other comonents (e.g., powder of Fe and Co) to give an alloy of desired Fe-Co-V composition. The mixt. is molded and sintered to produce sintered, flexible magnetic material having magnetic characteristics better than that of conventional material.
USE: Pole piece, armature, core, vibration plate for telephone receiver.
