Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce hardware in size, and to improve information processing performance on a buffer memory unit on a set associative system, by providing a memory circuit which is made capable of reading an instruction and operand at once.
CONSTITUTION: Once both request to read an instruction and operand are transmitted at the same time, they are supplied to instruction address register 1 and operand address register 2 and levels are read out from directory 80 and compared by comparators 44 and 45; when they agree each other, contents equivalent to the level are selected from buffer memory 60. In the same way as to the request to read an operand, levels A to D of directory 80 are compared by comparators 40 to 43 and contents equivalent to coincident levels are selected from buffer memory 60.
