Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic head of good data face servo system by constituting the head with the two bonded U cores of a width half the track width and respectively wound with windings and an I core. CONSTITUTION:Two sets of U cores 1, 1 such as of ferrite or other of a width 1/2 the track width 8 are bonded by high melting point glass in such a manner as to form a gap 5 of a specified clearance and an I core 4 is similarly bonded to the cores 1, 1. These are affixed by a resin 2, and a winding hole 7 communicating with a winding cut-out part 3 is opened by laser machining or the like, from the back 6, after which windings 10, 11 are wound to the cores 1, 1 to form the magnetic head. Further when the reproduction voltages E1, E2 are detected between the winding 10 and intermediate tap 12 and between the winding 11 and a tap at reproducing and the head position is so controlled that the difference of the voltages E1, E2 becomes zero, then tracking is accomplished and the signal detection accomplished by the voltage E1+E2, whereby the magnetic head of the data face servo system by which accurate track servo is effected may be provided.
