Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance the equalization accuracy for the transmission system in which the equivalent transmission frequency is different from the frequency of the pilot signal by absorbing the residual gain deviation by means of the flat-type variable gain circuit. CONSTITUTION:The pilot signal which is piled on the PCM signal received the waveform distortion at input point 1 is extracted after passing through obliquie- type variable gain circuit 2 and then supplied to control circuit 4, and the output of circuit 4 controls so that the pilot signal level may be constant for circuit 2. Then the deviation derived from the prescribed signal level based on the residual equalization deviation of the circuit 2 output is supplied to flat-type variable gain equalizer 6 to be thus controlled by the peak or average value detection control circuit 7. As a result, the PCM signal of the prescribed amplitude value is obtained at output terminal 8.
