Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain a given photo output signal without shading by compensating the shading characteristics for the photo sensing section through the adjustment of the light receiving area of the photo sensing video element.
CONSTITUTION: In the photo detecting section of a CCD line sensor, a plurality of photo gate electrodes 11 are arranged in primary dimension the photo detection section of MOS constitution, i.e., the insulation film 12 on one side of the P tye Si substrate 15, for example, and the incident window 61 performing the light shield 10 with Al at the incident light side of the electrode 11 is placed, allowing to introduce the incident light from the window 61.
