Abstract
PURPOSE: To accomplish a notch regurning operation without increase in the current capacity of the series motor in an electric car control method for controlling the operation of the DC series motor employing a chopper device.
CONSTITUTION: A full field operation of a DC series motor M is performed with the motor connected in series to a chopper device 10 from controlling the operation the motor according to the operation command and a smooth reactor 7 while a weak-field operation is done with a resistor 8 connected in parallel to a field coil 6. In a system of such a type, when the operation is returned to the full field mode from the weak-field mode, the current of the series motor after a cut-off current damping command is fed and detected with a current detecting section 14 while the damping from the set value is detected with a current comparing section 15. Based on the AND condition between the command and a command of an AND circuit 13, a command of stopping the chopper device is sent to a oscillation section 16 from an AND circuit 14. Thereafter, the chopper device 10 is operated again according to a given operation command.
