Abstract
PURPOSE: To utilize the sensible heat of high-temperature dry distillation gas at the maximum, to improve the calorific value and yield of fuel gas taken out of the system, and to utilize the produced gas as a fuel source, by effecting the drying and dry distillation separately.
CONSTITUTION: The waste 12 is directly dried by the dry distillation gas from the dry distillation furnace 1 in the dryen 2 provided independently of the furnace 1 in series and fed to the furnace 1. The dry distillation gas from the dryen 2 is pressureized by a blower, and partly fed to the combustion furnace 5, the rest being fed to the gas heater 4. The gas is scrubbed by the aqueous NaOH 8 in the scrubber 3 to remove noxious gas components and excess steam in the gas by condensation, then burned as a fuel in the furnace 5 to generate high-temperature combustion gas, which gives its heat to the gas heater 4. The total heat is thus absorbed by the air preheater 6. The dry distillation gas heated by the heater 4 is recirculated to the furnace 1 and used as a heat source for dry distillation of waste. When the calorific value of the waste is high, the effective excess gas 7 is taken out of the syste.
