Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the economy, by additionally providing a boiler with heat produced through combustion of combustible matter such as powder cokes contained in gas during the process that high temperature gas taken out from a cooling tower reaches the boiler.
CONSTITUTION: Hot circulation gas obtained by cooling red heat cokes charged from above in a cooling tower 1 is led to a heat recovery boiler 3 after removing powder cokes in the gas by means of a dust arrestor 4. The powder cokes thus separated are burnt in a combustion chamber 7 and the heat is returned to the heat recovery boiler 3. Through combustion control of powder cokes the recovery heat put in the boiler 3 is increased, while the recovery and disposition of cokes are facilitated.
