Abstract

PURPOSE: To quickly equalize the rotational frequency of gas generator to a setpoint without hunting, by a controller which controls the degree of opening of a variable vane dipending on the degree of rapid acceleration or deceleration of a two-shaft gas turbine equipped with a heat exchanger.
CONSTITUTION: Fuel is introduced into a combustor 4 through a fuel regulator 6 and burned with air introduced into the combustor from a compressor 1. A gas generator turbine 2 is driven by the combustion gas. The exhaust gas from the turbine 2 is conducted to a power turbine 3 through the variable vane 9 and then discharged through the the heat exchanger 4. The controller 47, which instructs the degree of opening depending on the degree of rapid acceleration or deceleration on the ground of the difference between the deviation of the gas generator rotational frequency and a rapid acceleration or deceleration reference, is used instead of a conventional controller of on-off action.
