Abstract
PURPOSE: To minimize thermal strain and thermal stress at the time of ignition by determining ignition timing so that combustion gas temperature at the time of ignition may be controlled from atmospheric pressure, temperature, compressor discharged air pressure, temperature, compressor rotation number within an allowable value.
CONSTITUTION: When starting up a gas turbine plant 100, to begin with, with a starting power motor 6 started up, a turbine 7 and a compressor 1 are turned, ignition timing is discriminated by a digital computerized controller 200, ignition is made by driving an igniter 23. Here, said controller 200 is constituted by detectors 31W34 for atmospheric pressure, atmospheric temperature, compressor discharged air temperature, compressor discharged air pressure, an input processing function 42 to input output signals of a flame detector 35 in a combustor 4 and a rotation number detector 36 in the compressor 1, a determining function 43 to determine ignition timing so that combustion gas temperature at the time of ignition may be controlled within an allowable value with use of various data, and an output processing function 44.
