Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain blast gases in good thermal efficiency with a small equipment scale without using any hot stove by heating the gaseous mixture of the gas produced at blast furnace top and air to high temp. gases by means of a power generating turbine in a blast branch pipe, and adding oxygen thereto.
CONSTITUTION: Gaseous mixture of the gas produced at blast furnace top and combustion air is introduced into a compressor casing pipe 8, and is compressed by the moving blades of the rotor 12 on a high speed revolving rotor shaft 13 of, for example, an axial flow system, and the stator vanes on the inside surface of the casing. The gaseous mixture is fed into a combustion chamber 14, where it is burned explosively with an ignition device. The burned gas is discharged through plural combustion holes 16 into a turbine casing pipe 9, where it revolves the rotor 17 on the shaft 13, thereby revolving the power generator connected to the shaft 13 extending to the outside of an upper bend pipe 7. The combustion gas of high temp. through the pipe 9 receives replenishing of O2 and C through the feed-in pipe 19 of a spherical adapter 10 and goes to the tuyere through a lower bend pipe 11.
