Abstract

PURPOSE:To suppress the high frequency component of a dominant wave signal containined in the output signal of a phase comparator by interposing an auxiliary filter between the phase comparator and variable oscillator in series to an active filter. CONSTITUTION:In PLL20, auxiliary filter 8 such as a Chebysheva type low-pass filter is interposed between phase comparator 2 and variable oscillator 4 in series to active filter 3. The characteristics of this filter 8 is so set that the reference-frequency signal and its high frequency signal supplied to comparator 2 will be cut off and the maximum frequency signal among the comparative frequency signals outputted from the phase comparator when the dividing rate of the variable divider varies will be made to pass. As for the characteristics of filter 8, for example, a frequency up to 4.84 KHz is transferred without being attenuated and a component above it is attenuated, so that the spuriousess and noises can be reduced without influencing various characteristics of a PLL.
