Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable the image transducer converting light information to laser light information to readily provide specified performances by filling silicone oil between Bi12SiO20 single crystalline liquid and insulation films and between the insulation films and transparent electrodes.
CONSTITUTION: The surfaces of Bi12SiO20 signle crystalline plate 13 having both of photo conduction effect and electro-optic effect are covered with insulation layers 14 such as mica and further glass plates 15 having undergone NESA coating are so disposed on both sides thereof that the electrode faces thereof come to the inner side. Silicone oil 16 is so filled as to fill voides between said plate 13 and layers 14 and between the layers 14 and plates 15. Thereby the insulation breakdown which had hitherto been caused may be eliminated and the reduction in after-image time and further degradation in resolution owing to the decrease in the surface resistance of the signale crystal surfaces or insulators owing to the moisture absorption of the element may be prevented. In addition, the insulation resistance of the silicone oil is high and carriers are sufficiently blocked
