PURPOSE: To obtain most suited detection performance even with the variation in the center frequency of modulation waves, by detecting the DC component of the pjase comparator output depending on the balancing part of the digital signal demodulated and by controlling the frequency of the local oscillator.
CONSTITUTION: After the modulation wave from the input 201 is frequency-converted, the signal delayed with the delay circuit 204 and the modulation wave are phase-compared 205, and threshold discrimination is made with the voltage comparator 207. The output is sampled with FF 209, and the decoded digital output is fed from the output line 210 and also, the signal delaying by one clock with FF 213 is inputted to the NOR gate 214 and the gate signal 306 constituting "1" only for the balancing part of the two codes adjacent is outputted. The DC signal separated from LPF 206 is sample-held 212, the analog gate 215 is passed through when the signal 306 is at "1", and the frequency is automatically adjusted by controlling the voltage controlled oscillator 218 from the integration value 216.
