Abstract

PURPOSE: In a cooling and heating apparatus wherein the coolant is forcibly gasified and evaporated by a coolant heater when the atmospheric temperature is low at the time of heating to prevent the lowering of the heating ability even at the low atmospheric temperature, to enable the prevention of the pressure rise in high pressure and low pressure.

CONSTITUTION: In a cooling and heating apparatus constituted by piping and connecting a compresser 1, a four-way valve 2, an indoor heat exchanger 3, a main pressure reducing mechanism 4, a first pressure reducing mechanism 5, an outdoor heat exchanger 6, a coolant heater 7 acting as an evaporator when the atmospheric temperature is low at the time of heating, an accumulator 8, a first opening and closing valve 9 and a check valve 10 connected in parallel to the aforedescribed pressure reducing mechanism 5, there are further provided a second opening and closing valve 11 connected in parallel to the aforedescribed opening and closing valve 9 and check valve 10, and opened at the time of an abnormal pressure rise when the room temperature rises or the air amount in the room is reduced at the time of operation heating the coolant in the coolant heater 7 in the case of low atmospheric temperature at the time of heating, and a second auxiliary pressure reducing mechanism 12 connected in series to said opening and closing valve 11.
