Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to effect switching from cooling into heating or uice uersa switching easily by a method wherein construction is simplified and a heat exchanging air ventilating space is switched by a wind flowing switching damper and thereby a direction of a current of the ventilating air is switched.
CONSTITUTION: Upon a room cooling operation, a wind direction switching damper 11 situated in a direction of B-B' line is directed into a direction of A-A' line and an indoor-side lower discharge port 7 is closed by mounting a front cover 9 while an indoor-side upper dischage port 8 is opened, thereby, indoor air is introduced into a cabinet through an indoor-side suction port 10 by an evaporator-side fan 6 and is heat-exchanged with a low temperature cooling medium through the evaporator 4, thereafter, is ventilated into a room through the indoor-side upper discharge port 8 as cool wind. On the other hand, outdoor air is introduced into the heat exchanging air ventilating space from an outdoor air suction port 13 through a duct 15 by a fan 5, then, is passed through a condenser 3, in which it is heat-exchanged with a high temperature gas medium, and becomes to be hot wind after liquidifying the cooling medium, thereafter, is sent out into open air through a duct 16 and an outdoor-side air discharge port 14.
