Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve a high resolution by producing the high-density narrow-hole shadow mask plate for color Braun tube by a coating process, a heat treatment process, and a series of a continuous units after the conventional exposure-chemical ething holing process. CONSTITUTION:Metal is coated in a form of simple substance, alloy or composite layer on the mask substrate which was subjected to the holing process. In case of the electrochemical plating method, plating solution composition and electrode arrangement are selected properly to adjust the current distribution; and in case of the evaporation method, the directivity of evaporation is adjusted by the position of the evaporation source. Then, the current distribution and the evaporation directivity are utilized, so that the thickness of substrate 21 can be made thick without chaning the inside diameter of narrow hole 22 considerably.
