Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to reduce power consumption greatly by starting oscillations with a resistance shorted during the application of battery power and by limiting an oscillation current flowing to C-MOST by the resistance after the start of oscillations. CONSTITUTION:Since oscillation 8 is not started when battery 21 is put to work, detection circuit 22 detects that no voltage is developed at Vss2, namely, no oscillation is started and generates its output of Vss1 in level, and consequently N-MOST 15 and P-MOST 16 both conduct while resistances 13 and 14 are both shorted, so that C-MOST 8 will start oscillating immediately at a voltage of -l.5V. Then, circuit 22 under the condition of Vss2>Vss1 detects that oscillation 8 becomes steady to cut off MOSTs 15 and 16, resistances 13 and 14 are connected in series to MOST 8 to maintain oscillations of MOST 8 and at this time, resistances 13 and 14 serve as limiting resistances, so that the power consumption will lessen remarkably.
