Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent caulking in a quick-cooling heat exchanger consisting of a fluid layer heat exchange unit and a multi-pipe type heat exchange unit by supplying fine particles to the fluid layer unit and blasting coagula attached to the wall of a water pipe at the upper part of the fluid layer by means of these fine particles.
CONSTITUTION: To prevent the formation of caulking, new solid particles are supplied from solid particle supply port 7 to fluid layer heat exchange unit 2 via solid particle supply device 8 at fixed time intervals. Solid particles to be supplied consist of coarse particles and fine particles at a fixed ratio, and coarse particles are taken out from coarse particle exit 6. On the other hand, fine particles fly to multi- pipe type heat exchange unit 9 and scrape liquid substance coagulated and attached to the outer wall surface of heat transfer pipe 10; and after they collected the coagulated substance on their surface, the fine particles, together with gas, enter fine particle collecting cyclone 17 via switching valve 16, where the fine particles are separated from the gas and then they are taken out from fine particle exit 20 via fine particle extracting device 18; and then, they are re-processed by a reproducing device.
