Abstract
PURPOSE: To flow back to a suction a suitable amount of exhaust gas according to an operation condition, by constituting a carburetor having a low and a high load suction passage so that a flow-back amount of exhaust gas, which reduces NOx, will be regulated by a difference in suction pipe negative pressures between the two passages.
CONSTITUTION: The inside of a suction pipe 5 is divided by partitions 8 and 9 into a low load suction passages 10 having a low load carburetor C1 and a high load suction passage having a high load carburetor C2, and an exhaust gas flow back passage 20 having a diaphragm device 24 is connected with the low load suction passage 10 so that a part of the exhaust gas will be flown back to a suction. A suction negative pressure of the low load suction passage 10 is fed through a negative pressure pipe 22 to one negative pressure chamber 24b of the device 24 and a negative pressure of the high load suction passage 11 fed to the other negative pressure chamber 24c, and a poppet valve 21a is opened and closed due to a difference between the two negative pressures. And a 3-way valve 25, which opens when cooling water exceeds a given amount, is located at a negative pressure pipe 23.
