Abstract

PURPOSE: For improving heat accumulation efficiency, raising the temperature of air feed and increasing gas supply rate, to change the setting of the supply rate of said combustion gas at each of the former and later halves of combustion period.
CONSTITUTION: The combustion gas supply rate of a hot stove for blast furnaces is set at a low value i.e. 70 W 90% of the mean value (100%) of the high values thereof, and at a high value i.e. 110 W 130% of said mean value, at the former and later halves respectively of combustion period. The timing of this change-over is controlled by using the difference between the setting and the past results particularly preceding time's and the difference between the setting and the past results of the temperature of waste gas for furnace change-over as control factors. Thereby, the curve of the temperature rise of said waste gas at the lower section of a heat accumulating chamber dulled. Thus, gas supply rate can be increased, heat efficiency can be improved, and the temperature of air feed can be raised to 10 - 20°C.
