Abstract

PURPOSE: To produce an image, which is reproduced in the same color as an original and in another color, from the original, which is expressed monochronously, by using a photosensitive drum which is formed with a laminated photoelectric layer having an optical sensitivity to different preset colors.
CONSTITUTION: A photosensitive drum 11, which is formed with a laminated photoconductive layer having sensitivity to preset different colors, is formed with two latent images, which have larger and smaller potential differences between the image and non-image portions, from the optical image of an original 28, which is generated through a filter 29 with a white color. The latent image having the larger potential difference is subjected to developing treatment by a black toner in a developing device 15. By a wholly exposing device 16, the other latent image having the smaller potential difference has its potential difference increased and its polarity at its image portion reversed so that it is subjected to the developing treatment by the toner of red or the like having the opposite polarity to that of the black toner. As a result, it is possible to produce the image, in which the original of monochroic property such as black and white is pairtally changed to any desired color.
