Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the deposition and adhesion of raw materials onto the slope of the lower part of hopper by providing an opening regulator to the charging hole of raw material charger for blast furnace and by dropping raw materials from the upper raw material hopper onto the opening regulator. CONSTITUTION:The lower part of the raw material hopper 1 is provided through the bell 2 with the gas-sealed chamber 3, below which is provided with the charging hole 4 and distributing chuts 8. And, the regulating plates 7 and 7' which can be opened, closed, and regulated its opening by the cylinder device 5 are provided between the lower end of the gas-sealed chamber 3 and the upper end of the charging hole 4. In this case, the size of the raw material exhaust port of the hopper 1 is set to a size larger than the maximum opening of the regulating plates 7 and 7'. By lowering the bell 2, great quantities of raw materials are charged into the gas-sealed chamber 3 in a short time and at the upper part of the charging hole 4, raw materials are flowed into the charging hole 4 and the distributing chute 8 in a fully packed state all the time. Because a rate of outflow of raw materials from the hopper 1 is faster, the biassed flow-down of raw materials in the hopper 1 due to the deposition and adhesion of powdered raw materials onto the slope 10 can be prevented.
