Abstract

PURPOSE: To realize the display of a higher contrast by forming the full reflector film containing the semitransparent layer of a desired pattern on the transparent glass substrate, the transparent electrode coated on the semitransparent layer via the transparent insulator film, the wiring pattern connected to the transparent electrode, and the fluorescent substance layer respectively.
CONSTITUTION: The exposure and development is given to photo resist layer 2 formed on transparent glass substrate 1 via the mask, and thus resist layer 3 is obtained. Then Al full reflector film 4 is formed on substrate 1. Layer 3 is then removed by the organic solvent to make Al layer 4 remain partially, thus forming Al semitransparent layer 5. Transparent insulator film 6 of SiO is formed on layer 5. Then the mask is used again to form transparent electrode 7 and wiring pattern 8 at the area opposing to semitransparent segment layer 5a on film 6, and then fluorescent substance layer 9 is coated and burnt. As a result, only the area emitting the light on layer 9 becomes visible to ensure a high-contrast display.
