CONSTITUTION: In cleaning Na adhered to a reactor using liquid metallic Na as a heating medium, the adhered Na is dissolution removed by being washed with ethanol contg. 2W30 vol% water. The resulting Na-contg. ethanol is passed through a column packed with an acidic cation exchange resin to remove the Na. The Na-free, water-contg. ethanol can repeatedly be used in dissolution cleaning Na.
