Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an apparatus that permits long-term use of a reverse osmosis membrane by providing a liquid tank for washing the reverse osmosis membrane and washing the membrane in a water refining apparatus incorporated with a reverse osmosis module.
CONSTITUTION: In a water refining apparatus successively connected with a reverse osmosis module 4, the 1st storage tank 12, a refining filter 19 and the 2nd storage tank 21, a water feed pump 3A is stopped to escape the residual pressure in the module 4 when the reverse osmosis membrane 4A of the module 4 is clogged. After this, the washing liquid in a washing tank 9 is flowed into the module 4 and is contacted with the membrane. This washing liquid is repeatedly circulated and used. Then, the stains of the reverse osmosis membrane are removed and the membrane is used again. In this way, the reverse osmosis membrane is washed, the labor for exchanging with the new membrane is eliminated and the water is refined economically.
