Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide an efficient purifying process for waste water by adding mineral acid or alkaline agent resulting in an adjustable pH value, further adding ferrous salt and alkaline agent while gas containing oxygen being agitated so as to adjust pH value and to remove deposites.
CONSTITUTION: Mineral acid such as sulfuric acid or alkaline agent such as hydrated sodium is added to metallic waste water containing for example one or two elements of lead, germanium, zirconium resulting in providing the adjusted pH value of 7 to 9, carbonate such as carbonic sodium etc. is added, further ferrous sulfide, alkaline agent such as ferrous salt and slaked lime is added while being agitated by gas e.g. air containing oxygen to adjust it to pH 9 to 11. Thereafter, the processed water is mixed under an addition or non-addition of high molecular agglomeration, kept still and separated into sludge and clear water. It is possible to provide a high efficient removal of metal from waste water discharged from a semiconductor parts manufacturing factory.
