Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform a harmless and efficient solid-liquid separation of sewage by using sodium polyacrylate and polyaluminum chloride as sewage solid-liquid separating agent.
CONSTITUTION: Sewage from construction work, etc. is added with a solid-liquid separating agent consisting of a mixture which includes 90W60wt% of sodium polyacrylate and 10W40wt% of polyalminum chloride in amount of 0.05W1wt% against the weight of sewage. When necessary, the sewage is adjusted in pH to 5W10 by using conditioner such as sodium carbonate. This causes solid components in the sewage to be coagulated and settled, leaving clear water. The obtained coagulating agent is harmless and efficient in solid-liquid separating capability.
