Abstract
PURPOSE:To provide an automatic air conditioning system for vehicle, in which temperature sensors used for controlling operation of front and rear air control units are disposed at a plurality of particular regions, whereby it is enabled to form a comfortable atmosphere in the cabin having uniform temperature distribution throughout the space in the cabin. CONSTITUTION:In an air conditioning system including a rear air control unit 1 and a front air control unit 2 equipped with heater unit 3 and cooler unit 4; temperature sensors T1-T3 are on both sides and at the lower center of the front section of vehicle, and temperature sensors T4-T6 are disposed on both sides and at the lower center of the rear section of the cabin. Average temperature in the cabin is detected from the outputs of these sensors, and the average temperature is used for controlling quantity of air heat diffused from the front and rear air control units 1, 2, thereby controlling the temperature in the cabin to a desired temperature. At the same time, temperature at all regions in the cabin can be controlled to a desired temperature through the control of amount of air diffused from the front and rear air control units.
