Abstract
PURPOSE:To measure quickly and easily, by using a cylindrical coal specimen which is rotated and fed straightly in the axial direction, utilizing the optical fiber as optical path, being equipped with a photometric part having directional coupler, photo detector and lens for imaging action. CONSTITUTION:By a first optical fiber 24, the light from a light source 27 is led into a directinal coupler 30. From the directional coupler 30 to a photometric part, and from the photometric part to a photo detector 29 through the directional coupler 30 and a third optical fiber 26, the reflected light is led by means of a second optical fiber 23. And a photometric part having a lens 22 for imaging action is provided between the second optical fiber 23 and a coal specimen 20. The second optical fiber 23 has a length to give a delay to the light to separate the radiation light from the reflected light, and the coal specimen is made in a cylindrical form so as to be rotated and fed straightly in the rotary axial direction. Thus constituted, quick and easy measurement may be realized.
