Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve efficient connection work by detecting and measuring light emitted from the output end of the optical fiber as fixed. CONSTITUTION:The emission ends 3b', 3b'... of te optical fiber 2', 2'... are arranged securely in the specified position relationship. The light emitted from the ends is received in order while the ends 3b', 3b'... and the light detector 5 arranged corresponding thereto are being relatively moved. The output of the detector 5 is measured by the measuring device 6. The detector has the light detecting with element on the front side facing the fixture 9 and the shield plate 12 with a clearance 11 on the front of the element 10.
