Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a phase synchronous oscillator which can operates stably and whose frequency range is wide. CONSTITUTION:Micro strip line 1, coupled with the common connection point between detecting diodes 3 and 4 from its one terminal 1A, supplies a reference- frequency signal to diodes 3 and 4. The other terminal, which is not connected to the common connection point between diodes 3 and 4, is grounded via capacitors 5 and 6 in terms of a high frequency. Micro strip line resonator 7 constitute one part of the voltage control oscillator together with coupling capacitor 8 and FET9. The length of resonator 7 is so fixed that resonator will resonate with half the wavelength at center frequency (f0); its center part 7A is positioned right between diodes 3 and 4 and made extremely close to a straight line connecting diodes 3 and 4 together in parallel. Then, potentiometer 12 is connected across both the diodes, and terminal 13 connecting to its slider constitutes the phase detection outpdt terminal together with terminal 15 connected to one terminal of line 1 via choke 14, thereby developing an output voltage, equivalent to a difference of the rectified current of the composite output between both diodes 3 and 4, between terminals 13 and 15.
