Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the stability of the titled oscillator and to take out electric power efficiently by connecting a transistor for oscillation to one of two parallel microstrip lines connected between a dielectric resonator and a diode for modulation to the other. CONSTITUTION:When the impedance of a transistor 4 connected to a microstrip line 2 against a terminal resistor 6 connected to the other end of the line 2 is made negative resistance, oscillation is started by the resonance frequency of a dielectric resonator 8 connected to the microstrip line 2. The junction capacitance of a diode for modulation connected to a microstrip line 3 is changed by the control voltage applied to a bias terminal 12 for modulation. Consequently, the resonance frequency of the dielectric resonator 8 is changed through the microstrip line 3, modulating an oscillated signal. The modulated signal is outputted through a loop 10.
