Abstract

PURPOSE: To make it possible to prevent gas leakage, while eliminating the influence from the heat, by welding a filament holder to the opening of one chamber of a detecting body, into which gases to be detected are introduced, thereby to seal the filament and by constricting the vicinity of the opening.
CONSTITUTION: A detector body 15 is formed with a thin flange 16 and a constriction 16 therebelow. The two detector bodies 15 thus constructed are respectively formed with cylindrical chambers 13, in which a filament 3 held by a hermetical seal 10 is made to extend. Those bodies 15 are made to have communication through a communication pipe 5 threreby to constitute a heat conduction type detector 20. The outer circumference of the flange 16 is fixedly welded to that of a welded portion 9. Thanks to the flanged portion 14, the heat conduction to the body 15 during the welding operation is reduced. Since the flanged portion 16 acts as a heat radiator, the influence of the heat during the welding operation can be reduced. As a result, the heat influence upon the filament 3 can be eliminated, and the hermetical seal 0 can be prevented from bein broken.
