Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the virtual sensitivity by lowering down the operation minimum field intensity of the automatic sensitivity control (AGC) characteristics for the reception circuit in the radio control unit or the like. CONSTITUTION:The higher frequency signals supplied through the antenna undergo the channel selection at tuning circuit 1, are amplified at higher frequency amplifier circuit 2, changed into the intermediate frequency through mixture oscillator circuit 3, amplified at IF amplifier circuit 4, detected through detection circuit 5, and then turned to the detection output including the voltage of the DC component and the voltage of the aural output component equivalent to the closed line of the intermediate frequency. The aural signal is amplified throught amplifier circuit 6 to drive the relay and others. On the other hand, the DC component is drawn out through low-pass filter 7 and then supplied to limiter 8. At limiter 8 the output to AGC line 10 is changed when the voltage becomes over the specified level. Thus the gain is reduced, resulting in reduction of the sensitivity. The field intensity with which the reduction of sensitivity begins is set larger than the operation minimum field intensity of the radio control unit, and thus the sensitivity can be increased to the faint electric wave.
