Abstract
PURPOSE:To satisfactorily receive feeble radio waves, and to demodulate an FM signal with high sensitivity, by varying and controlling a band of a narrow band filter and gain of a low frequency amplifier, by an output from a wide band intermediate frequency amplifier. CONSTITUTION:A high frequency input signal is inputted to a frequency converter 1, is converted to an intermediate frequency signal by a signal from a voltage controlling oscillator 7, and is inputted to a band variable narrow band filter 8. An output of this filter 8 is amplified by a wide band intermediate frequency amplifier 3, is provided to an amplitude limiter 4, and also is inputted to a level detector 10. Also, the intermediate frequency signal whose amplitude has been limited is demodulated to a low frequency signal by a frequency demodulator 5, and its low frequency signal is inputted to a gain variable low frequency amplifier 9. Subsequently, a passing band of the filter 8 and gain of the amplifier 9 are controlled in accordance with a level of the intermediate frequency signal detected by the level detector 10, and oscillation frequency of the oscillator 7 is controlled by an output of the amplifier, so that feeble radio waves can be received satisfactorily.
