Abstract
PURPOSE: To simplify an FM mute circuit by using level detection output signals and FM detection output DC level signals in an FM intermediate frequency amplifier circuit as input signals of the FM mute circuit.
CONSTITUTION: The output of meter driving circuit 9 is inputted to level mute driving circuit 10, and the signal strong change output and the set reference value are compared with each other to form mute control signals. The DC level of the detection output and the OV bias voltage are inputted to OV switch circuit 12 to form mute control signals corresponding to the voltage of slippage components to the tuning point. Both mute control signals are inputted to OR circuit 13 and are inputted to mute control circuit 16 through switch SW2 which controls the FM mute operation. This mute control circuit 16 controls the gain of low frequency amplifier circuit 15 to inhibit the output at non-broadcast station positions and erase noise.
