Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:A β-aminoketone derivative of formula I: (R1 is lower alkyl, lower alkoxy group, or halogen; R2 is lower alkyl group; R3 is lower alkyl or aralkyl group, R2 and R3 may form piperidine, pyrrolidine, or morpholine ring together with the adjacent nitrogen atom) or its acid addition salt.
EXAMPLE: 1-Dimethylamino methyl cyclohexyl 4-methylphenyl ketone hydrobromide.
USE: Tuberculostatics and antimycoplasma effective for warm-blooded animals, e.g. men and cattle, with low toxicity and side effects.
PROCESS: A compound of formula II: (X is halogen) is reacted with Mg in the presence of a solvent, e.g. ethyl ether, to form a Grignard reagent, which is reacted with a compound of formula III: (R4 is lower alkyl group) to give the desired compound of formula I. The starting compound of formula II is obtained by reacting a compound of formula IV with a compound of formula V, and by halogenating the reaction product.
