Abstract

PURPOSE: To remarkably increase the reproducibility of moving picture, by taking the difference between the picture signal and that delayed for one frame period with the movement detector, and by detecting and controlling the picture signal when the difference exceeds the threshold value.
CONSTITUTION: The digital picture signal read out from the line memory 15 is written in the field memories 17 and 18 by alternately selecting it with the selector switch 16 one hand, and on the other hand, it is fed to the moving detector 20. As to the picture signal from the meories 17 and 18, the selector switch 19 performs changeover to read out it, the difference between the picture signal and that delayed by one frame is taken from the detector 20. When the difference exceeds a given threshold value, the detection signal is produced to detect the shift in the picture signal and to control it with the selection of the switch 25. Thus, the reproducibility of the moving picture can remarkably be increased.
