Abstract

Vessel 8 is made to revolve at a high speed around the axis of optical fibers to cause convection current in the liquid resin and the axis of optical fibers to coincide automatically with the hole on the center of the thin film. Even when the taking-up speed of the optical fibers is raised near to 100 m/min and the depression of the surface of liquid becomes steep and the bubbles come into the liquid resin, the bubbles are never accompanied with fibers to the end of the applicator because the liquid is stirred, thus forming viod-free coating layers.
