Abstract

PURPOSE: To coat linear aricle with a smooth thin coating film of a molten coating material by using a tooth form V-type pulley for a rotor changing the direction of the linear aritcle.
CONSTITUTION: When a long linear aricle is coated, the linear aricle 4 is introduced into a bath 1 filled with a molten coating material, passed through a turn pulley 3 and a hole 7 of a throttle die 6, and drawn up. The resulting linear aricle is transferred to a baking furnace 5 where the coating material is cured to form a coating film. When a tooth form V-type pulley is used for a turn pulley in this appartus, accumulated parts 8 of the molten coating mterial are produced sporadically. Hence, during the introduction of the linear article into the baking furnace 5 after drawing up from the bath 1, the coating material is fluidized to form a smooth coating surface. The generation of defects such as foaming in the coating surface can be prevented.
