Abstract

PURPOSE: To dichroically display the different portions of plural images by effecting the charging operations of opposite polarities during first and second original forming steps with the use of a simultaneous electrostatic latent image transfer and by effecting the developments with the use of two kinds of toners having different polarities.
CONSTITUTION: Both a zerographic photosensitive element 10 made of a photoconductive layer 13 and a dielectric element 20 made of a discharge layer 21 and a conductivity treating layer 22 are brought into contact with a glass substrate 11 and a conductive glass electrode plate. During a first step, a first original 0 is exposed and projected, and a positive voltage is applied from a power source 40 to the photosensitive element 10 thereby to form a positive latent image upon the dielectric element 20. Then, simultaneously as a second original 0' is exposed and projected, a negative voltage is applied from a power source 40' to the photosensitive element 10 to form a negative latent image upon the element 20. Then, the element 20 is developed with the use of positively charged red toners and negatively charged black toners to form a clear image which has its non-overlapped portions developed dichroically.
